Quota for folders

In windows client Operating system is it possible to set quota for a folder? ( such as win 7, win 8  ) I know that it is possible to do it for a drive.

I'm afraid not.  You can limit number of concurrent connections to a folder if you share it, but not the size the folder can reach.  That can only been done at a server level.

You cant set the quota on the Win 8 machines drives but the Win 8 client will adhere to server disk quotas just fine.

Nothing to add on the posts above, but your topic came up in Server 2008 as well. You can put folder quota's on the servers local drives for 2008/2012 using FSRM.
