SSRS forced login

I normally do not install SSRS on a network without a domain controller but I have just done one. Everytime I go to http://servername/reports it asks me to login even If I click the reminder my credentials box. How do I eliminate this login prompt? Everything works but I want the login prompt to be gone.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Does this also happen if you run IE as admin?  (through the "run as admin" functionality, not just with an administrator logged on to the machine)

As Administrator or run as Administartor I do not get prompted. I corrected this by creating a group, dropping users into the group and then in SSRS under Folder Options I added this group.

That would indeed help.  Another option, if you just want to get rid of that popup and have full access to everything, would be to add your user (or the group in which it was put) as System Administrator.  That can be done through Site Settings, Security page.

On the other hand, if certain users need access to certain folders while other users need access to other folders, then you could set security on (sub)folder level.  A bit like what you've already done but in your case you've probably put security on the Home folder which means they'll have access to all subfolders on the SSRS server.  It all depends on what you're trying to achieve of course, now that you've got a view on all the options it's up to you to decide what to do with it :)

You are right on target here. The goal is to have a set of folders for each type of report and only users of each group get to see the reports in that group. YOu have gotten me started. Thanks.
