Group policy to set language on Office 2010

Hi all,

I need to take out a policy that is forcing the editing language on Office to Spanish, because we are on Peru. Do you know where to find that "editing language" setting on a GPO?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

In order to accomplish this, you'll need to download and install the Office Administrative Tools for Office 2010 on the Group Policy server (

Once you've done this, you should have a set of Group Policy Objects available that will let you change these settings.

By the way, the specialist is on leave so I am covering him.

We are on Windows 2008 R2. We have an OU for every country.

Outlook is 2010, our user pcs runs on Windows 7. There is a GPO that sets that, but I can't find where to change it:

Microsoft Office 2010/Language settings/Editing Languages
Policy      Setting      Winning GPO
Primary Editing Language      Enabled      Microsoft Office 2010 Policy - PE
Primary Editing Language      Spanish (Peru)
