Exchange 2010 Roles for an Administrator


I want to make someone else an administrator of Exchange 2010. What are the minimum roles this person needs to have so that they can make any changes they want, which includes adding or removing public folders? I want this person to be the main administrator.

Add them to the exchange organization group.  This will give them the permissions to manage the exchange server

This is also to get the management tools on their system

If the person is Main in your organization, you can give "Organization Management" So that person can make all changes,create policy, Managing Server, Recipient, organization level management etc, even it s including public folder management
