you can use contig to defragment at the file system level; just keep in mind there is downtime when doing this (don't do while it's mounted) and the i/o could affect overall performance.  i would analyze the file fragmentation first before considering this step

@limmontreefree, Other than doing a Database Defrag using ESEUtil, none of the options posted above (online-defragmentation or Contig) will help you to release the white space of database to file system.
