Mongo-DB monitoring using Script

I am looking for any script or opensource tool that will dump mongodb performance , like query execution(Insert, update, delete) and any/every other operation on mongodb and dump statistics for them into a log file. I am trying to collect these log files and analyse them using splunk.

Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Have you look into DBConnect from Splunk?

I did look at it but it doesn't serve our purpose. So i am looking at something where i can have a script spit out useful information about performance to the log and i can later analyse it .
Try the following scripts, unfortunately I do not have the environment to test them. I personally prefer to use nagios or other monitoring tools over custom scripts as it comes with plugins to monitor databases.

If those didn't fit your needs, the following url has additional resources for MongoDB monitoring.
