Dynamics CRM 2011 Online workflow infinite loop problem

We currently have a Dynamics CRM 2011 Online workflow which fires upon creation of a record within a Custom entity. The workflow processes data then creates a new record within the Custom entity table, which in turn fires the same workflow.

The reason we are processing the data in steps, is that there is a 2 minute process limit within the Dynamics CRM 2011 online platform. We have found that if we create more than 6 records within the workflow the process fires an infinite loop exception and the process stops.

Does anyone know how we can get around this problem or give us any insights?

This is a platform feature to avoid infinite lopps. If you can explain your scenario in more details I might be able to help you.

Just for the clarification; do you want to stop infinite loop or increase the loop count?
