mailbox move error

Hi All

Hope you can help, im trying to move an mailbox account in exchange 2010 to another store. I can use the wizard to sort out a local move request which it confirms everything is ok but once this has completed i check the status and it has failed. Every other mailbox moved fine of the store but not this one. One thing i have noticed is that in the error it says that the database is is being moved to is a bigger build is this something that could be causing it to fail?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Follow this

If nothing works, export data to pst, remove exchange attribute. then open 2010 EMC and create mailbox again for this user, import the data and you are done.

You have about 2 options explained here: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Server_Software/Email_Servers/Exchange/Q_27720477.html

I would save yourself the headache and just export it to PST and re-import it on a new mailbox.  Just keep in mind with the new mailbox being created, some users will have to clear out their autocomplete because even though the address is the same, it still refers to the old mailbox.  You will just have to update and push the GAL so the new OAB is updated across the users. But if its in the suggested contacts or NK2 that users address might need to be removed from those.  "Its a might happen case"

Make sure that you have updated service pack and update roll-ups for exchange 2010.

And yes if still it dosen;t works then above said by amit is correct u have to delete n recreate mailbox by exporting PST and then importing again to fresh mailbox.

If you planned to recreate the mailbox. Then add X500 custom address with old legacydn name. That will avoid bounce back from outlook running with cache mode. Steps are here
