Safe to Delete Temp

I have used WizTree to see what was taking up so much space on a user local C drive.

Is it a rule of thumb that if they are in a Temp folder.............they can be deleted??

For example:   C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\local Settings/Temp

This is on a Windows XP machine

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

For the most part, yes.  Any files in use will result in an error when trying to delete them
