Repair Samsung S4

We are looking at repairing a Samsung S4 for ourselves and potentially for others if we can figure out a cost efficient way to do it.  From the way it looks now, there are basically two ways to go about repairing any phone. You can either replace just the glass with an 80% success rate, or you can replace the whole LCD assembly.

Beyond that, we understand zero about how to do this and the prices here appear to be all over the map from about $50 for the whole assembly to many in the $200 range.

Assistance in finding the right solution is greatly appreciated.

Can't comment on what is a reasonable price.

But look carefully at what is being offered.  There are a large number of S4 models - see for these.

The eBay stuff covers T959V, i9500, i9505, i337 etc.  The last 3 I've mentioned seem to be the same screen but the first one doesn't seem to the same as the others.

You need to identify carefully what model you have and then see what the prices for that are.
For sure it depends on what is broken, just the lens or the lcd display...?

If you are not in a hurry go for the lens which is cheap enough and if you will not have the correct result

Here is a guide for the replasement
This is the iFixit teardown of the S4

There are also replacement guides for various components - see the Step-by-Step guides to the right in blue.

What is a reasonable costfor the LCD assembly? I see prices from $40 to $220 and lots of them at every range.I know the glass alone runs about $20 or less.
