Repair Samsung S4

We are looking at repairing a Samsung S4 for ourselves and potentially for others if we can figure out a cost efficient way to do it.  From the way it looks now, there are basically two ways to go about repairing any phone. You can either replace just the glass with an 80% success rate, or you can replace the whole LCD assembly.

Beyond that, we understand zero about how to do this and the prices here http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=S4+assembly&LH_BIN=1&_sop=15&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.Xsamsung+S4+assembly&_nkw=samsung+S4+assembly&_sacat=0 appear to be all over the map from about $50 for the whole assembly to many in the $200 range.

Assistance in finding the right solution is greatly appreciated.

Hello
For sure it depends on what is broken, just the lens or the lcd display...?

If you are not in a hurry go for the lens which is cheap enough and if you will not have the correct result

Here is a guide for the replasement

This is the iFixit teardown of the S4 http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Samsung+Galaxy+S4+Teardown/13947/1

There are also replacement guides for various components - see the Step-by-Step guides to the right in blue.

ASKER

What is a reasonable costfor the LCD assembly? I see prices from $40 to $220 and lots of them at every range.I know the glass alone runs about $20 or less.
