Cisco ASA 5512x replacing ASA 5505

Can I backup the config of a Cisco ASA 5505 via asdm and restore it to a Cisco 5512x ASA. If so what are the steps essential for accomplishing such.

Make sure your config is in the version 8.4 and here is ciscos guide

Thanks and the 5505 is on version 8.2 and should I not be able to download the 8.4 software I should be good just copying the text file to the 5512-x and just edit the interfaces while the rest of the rules and information can remain the same. Am I correct on that assumption?
I believe  you can just put 8.4 on to the 8.2 software or download it if you have a cisco login.

all the other rules should be the same.
