adobe acrobat

where i work, we have a person that controls all the software license. I asked if they have a license for adobe acrobat 9 standard but they aren't getting back to me.
I want to use something until the license guy gets back to me, so I was wondering is there some free software that makes a PDF virtual printer in windows 7?

There are many free PDF print drivers out there. Six good ones are Bullzip, CutePDF Writer, doPDF, Nitro PDF Creator (part of the Nitro Reader install), PDFCreator, and PrimoPDF:

They have varying features and some folks prefer one over the other, so you may want to experiment to see which one you like the best. CutePDF used to be my favorite, but my current choice now is doPDF (I was running into occasional problems with GhostScript, which CutePDF requires, but doPDF does not require it). So I suggest trying doPDF first to see if it works well for you; if not, try the others until you find one that you like. All of them install a "printer" so that you can "print" to it from any Windows program (same as the Adobe PDF printer). When you "print" to it, the print driver will create a PDF file. Works a charm!
