merge multiple files

I have multiple files that I would like to combine into one file. They are text tab delimited files and are all located in the same folder.   I am using Windows XP. Any idea on how I can do this with a batch file?   Thanks for any info.

Try a manual example with the copy command. Per the command instructions, you can append files by specifying a single file for destination and then file1+file2+file3 for source.

In a command prompt, type copy /? to get a list of instructions.

Verify it works, and then put the commands in a batch file.

@thinkpads_user, this will work for text tab limited. Also I want to do this for all files, I have many files. Can I do this with a wildcard to specify all the files a specific folder?

Yes, you can use wildcards. Check copy /? as suggested and it notes wildcards can be used.
