C# Alternate Data Streams (ADS) Directories / Folders

Hi All,

I read an excellent article written by Stephen Toub entitled, “Iterating NTFS Streams”, and found it to be most helpful. The example code worked perfectly.

I have however, been researching the subject in order to find a way of detecting an ADS within a directory (as opposed to a file). I know that it is possible but I cannot find anything authoritative on the subject and was hoping that someone on Experts Exchange may be able to point me in the right direction.

Any information you may be able to share would be greatly appreciated.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I have finally figured it out. I need to replace FileInfo with FileSystemInfo.

FileSystemInfo will handle the directories.
