check if unbound form has recordset already dynamically bound to it

hey guys,

how do i check if an unbound form already has a recordset bound to it at runtime? thanks!! = ))

i tried this but to no avail = (

msgbox Me.subDetails.Form.Recordset is nothing

also tried

set varX =Me.subDetails.Form.Recordset
msgbox varX is nothing

But I'm confused re:

It can't be both ... either or ...

my goodness guys, i set the sourceobject to "" and i was testing for the sourceobject's recordset. can you believe it?? what madness!!

and i was assigning the recordset to the subform directly without using the recordsource so i thought the recordsource will be empty. but i just tested and even if i assign the recordset directly the recordsource will still have the query string.
