ITIL management processes and issues in vmware

If any of you use ITIL framework to manage your environment, I could do with some mapping assistance. I am trying to determine which of the ITIL processes should manage the following risks:

-guests with no vmware tools installed (or it not running)

-missing critical security esxi patches

if any of you are familiar with ITIL, any pointers on what processes those issues fall into most welcome.

ITIL is a framework, it depends which bits, your organization decides to adopt.

Those items, patching and items should be in design.

Service Design - Server Design

Service Transition - Change Management, Service Asset and Configuration, Release and Deployment Management

Configuration Management - Configuration Management Database

It is early days in itil adoption I was just interested in which itil processes the issues above typically fall into. Surely they fit into the itil framework somewhere?
