Saving from Mapped Explorer Drive in Sharepoint 2010

We have a user that has been working out of a folder and file structure  created from a template in Sharepoint 2010 through her mapped drive (Word and Excel doc). When the user goes to save the file it loses the mapping and goes back to the C: everytime. Is there a setting in Excel or Word to make sure the mapping is the default path?

In Word 2010, you can go to File - Options - Save. There you can set your dedault location.
