Can't connect to another computer using "Remote Desktop Connection" in Windows 7 Enterprise

Can't connect to another computer using "Remote Desktop Connection" in Windows 7 Enterprise.  I get the message "Windows cannot load the locally stored profile. ....".

This problem comes and goes.  Usually when it happens I can't remote to this computer for that particular day but then it will be OK and I'll be able to connect the next day.

What is going on and how do I correct this?

Go to the to remote computer, browse its c drive. In the Users folder, there is a folder name for the account you are trying to log un as. Rename it. Next time you sign in, the profile will be recreated. And you can move files from the old profile into the new one.
You may have a corrupt profile.  A simple thing to try would be to delete the user profile, then log into the computer to re-create the profile.

You will, of course, want to be sure to save anything (desktop, documents, etc) that you want to keep in the profile before deleting it.

I had this problem (but for me it consistently did not work) on a issues since recreating the profile.
