Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange does not update virus definitions
I have a windows 2003 server with SMSME 6.5.7.279. The problem is that the virus definitions seem to be stuck at 8/15/2013. when i try to manually run the liveupdate certified definitions, i receive message that states

Any idea what can be going on? I already uninstalled(rebooted) and installed the application and it still does not update. I also have a sym endpoint protection client installed showing a yellow exclamation mark. But I am not sure if this is relevant.

my virus defs are almost a month old and I already re-installed the application. I don't recall removing the LiveUpdate portion of the software, but I assume reinstalling SMSME from scratch would take care of this.
