"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

don't remove GC from that server or you'll break exchange; it is dependent on GC
definitely make the new DC a GC; no harm in having more than one

don't recommend doing anything at the AD level on that box while exchange is installed due to the risk involved.  get exchange off there first before changing AD in any way on that box

Agree, I was able to remove the GC from the Exchange server and since everything has replicated
I seem to be having no issues.
