I cant give ie8 to users..app crashing so plan is to install ie 7 n xenapp farm and publish to my vdi win7 clients
Shouldn't you figure out why IE8 is crashing instead? Websites are dropping support for IE7, and it's not the most secure browser.

Did you try upgrading to IE9 or IE10? Windows Server 2008 R2 will run either of those, and one of them may run via xenapp.

Its a siebel crm app..vendor told upgradr to new verdion to work in ie8 and above..therr are some app components which get downloaded when we launch url..it asks for a popup to download when wr click ok ie closees
I can barely understand your last post. Please take your time composing your posts, as the clearer you are, the quicker and clearer the help can be.

Did you try upgrading to IE9 and running the CRM app?

Yes but application crashes on any ie above ie7...there are some application components which gets downloaded when we launch the application URL...a pop up comes to download and when we click ok then the Internet 8 or 9 explorer closes automatically...we checked with vendor and he says upgrade to new version of application...that's a cost process so we are thinking of using ie7 in xenapp and do a kind of application streaming /virtualization
Did you turn Compatibility View on for the app site?

Did you try running IE8 as administrator while installing the app?

Did you add the site to the list of Trusted Sites in IE8? Did you turn the security level down for trusted sites, so it can install unsigned Active-X components?

Have you gotten the app to run in IE7 on a computer?
I suspect that trying to use IE7 will cost you more in the long run than upgrading the application.
