Siebel crm version 8 not working in ie 8 and above


When  we try to use siebel crm it crashes in ie 8 and above..on win 7 .vendor says upgrade to 8.1siebel that's the solution.

Is there any other way..when we punch siebel crm URL there is application components which get downloaded when we click ok ie just closes
