Check user manual from manufacturer website...or post the model number of your computer.

Intel 82579LM Gigabit is the ethernet controller. No wireless card seen.

Any problem devices?  Also check hidden devices?

If this one of the main stream manufacturers, I would start by going to their support site and entering in the Serial number to check the original configuration of the unit to see if it shipped with a wireless network card.  If it did then download the driver, if it did not and you did not add one then you probably have your answer.

As aadih suggested .. check for "other Devices" in Devices

Ok based on your info, you do not have a wireless adapter installed in your system

Try to to buy and attach an External wireless adapter.

I bought this for myself few days back(from Amazon) for $20

Medialink- 150Mbps Wireless N USB Adapter - 802.11n, 2.4ghz, Windows 2000 / 2003 / XP 32-Bit and 64-Bit / Vista 32-Bit and 64-Bit / Windows 7 32-Bit and 64-Bit Compatible

And I'm quite happy with it.
