I am need to fill out an audit report for a client. To do this I need information on how SBS 2008 encrypts data, Some things I need to answer:

Passwords encrypted or hashed in storage
cryptographic keys used
which encryption methodology is used
what encryption protocol is used

There is more information needed than this. I am trying to find a document that would answer these types of questions

That only goes up to 2003. I am wondering what is in place by default?

Same principal for SBS 2008 with only minor changes.

As far as what would be in place by default, that would EFS unless it previously disabled.
