Why or how does Exchange 2010 work with 2008 AD...I cannot configure my mailbox using active directory

well am I missing something here.  I used to be able to configure a mailbox using AD in windows server 2003, now that I have a 2008 domain controller what do i need to do to be able to configure a mailbox or does it?

You need to use EMC (Exchange Management Console).

Everything changed in Exchange 2007 and you can no longer configure Exchange mailboxes with AD - you need to use the Exchange Management Console (as mentioned above) and the Exchange Management Shell.

Exchange tabs no longer appear in ADUC after Exchange 2003.    You have to use the exchange management console to manage exchange in E2K7 and up.   Take a look at this question I assisted with and some additional references
