Migrating Server 2012 Essentials to 2012 Standard

We have purchased Windows Server 2012 Essentials for one of our clients.  Currently the customer is within the 25 limit, but I anticipate that they will go over within a couple of years.

I understand we can migrate to Server 2012 Standard at a latter time.

My question is, how involved is this process?  The instructions in the following article [http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj247582.aspx] indicate that it is simply a matter of procuring the licenses and importing by running 2 commands.  Is it as simple as that?  Or are there other potential issues which would make it more ideal to install Windows Server 2012 right from the start and not dealing with Essentials?

Thanks in advance.

Yes you can easily upgrade, its not like SBS in the past. However I have to ask: you do have a second dc up right? Never ever ever run a single dc by itself unless you really want to rebuild from scratch at some point
You can test it in a virtual env first  (vmware)
