Script Needed Compare to folders

Windows 2003 R2 Servers.

I run a scipt that copies a folder from a NAS drive to a USB drive for a backup copy.

teracopy.exe copy n:\photos "d:\photo backup" /overwriteall /close >c:\util\photo.log

It copies all the photos every time 5000 in total.

Would like a way to compare both folders and then only copy the files that have changed or have been added.

Maybe a script that could feed the teracopy program

Any ideas?

Are you comfortable moving away from teracopy?

Try a simple .bat script with ROBOCOPY:

ROBOCOPY Source_folder Destination_folder [files_to_copy] [options]

ROBOCOPY n:\photos d:\photo backup /Z /FFT /MIR > c:\util\photo.log

/Z : Copy files in restartable mode (survive network glitch
/FFT : Assume FAT File Times (2-second date/time granularity)
/MIR : MIRror a directory tree
