scheduled backup failed halted

Experts,
My automated scheduled backup job is failing because when kicked it's off there is a prompt .. something in regards to.. "your backup is being saved on a external driver.." I will catch the exact message on my next back up that I have to run manually.

How can I add a flag or switch to answer yes and continue backup process without failing?
please help

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Why not backup to local disk, then copy to external hard drive, done? delete backup on disk all in one script.
