Transferring Windows 8

I am selling my laptop and want to put Win 7 back on it.  I currently have a downloaded legit Windows 8 that I want to take off and put on my wife's laptop.  Any special uninstalling rules I need to follow so I can reinstall Windows 8 later

You may not be able to do what you want if you have OEM licenses and media. Just create full computer images of each one BEFORE you change anything so you can rollback if something goes wrong.

There is a tutorial on Tom's Hardware for this: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1656379/create-system-image-backup.html

You can also create or obtain the system recovery DVDs from each laptop if their system recovery partitions are still intact.
