We sorted it in the end by adding a CNAME subdomain in the 1&amp;1 DNS control panel for autodiscover.x.com, and pointing it to autodiscover.outlook.com<br />

We have tried to add the cname and mx record to 1&amp;1 for the domain but we cannot get the cname autodiscover to work.<br />
<br />
We have tired to setup outlook locally with outlook.office365.com but it just comes up with Microsoft exchange server unavailable.<br />

Any Ideas?

Office 365 is a group of software plus services subscriptions that provides productivity software and related services to its subscribers. Office 365 allows the use of Microsoft Office apps on Windows and OS X, provides storage space on Microsoft's cloud storage service OneDrive, and grants 60 Skype minutes per month.
