URGENT: Mediawiki file upload error "The file you uploaded seems to be empty. This might be due to a typo in the filename. Please check whether you really want to upload this file."
I recently upgraded my Mediawiki to 1.19.7 from 1.17. Everything is working fine except we are now unable to upload files. We always get the following error.
The file you uploaded seems to be empty. This might be due to a typo in the filename. Please check whether you really want to upload this file.
I have looked at multiple forums that show discussions about the issue, but I have yet to find a solution. I also am unable to find a bug number.
I also have confirmed all my settings in both php.ini and LocalSettings.ini. Everything should be working, but no luck.
Has anyone had any experience with this issue and how did you solve it?
Environment:
MySQL 5.0.94
Apache 2.2.12
PHP5 5.3.8-0.19.6
Thanks

Thank you for the reply. I should be able to upgrade the database, but if not then will a downgrade of Mediawiki work? I thought that there were schema changes between 1.18 and 1.19.
Thanks

MySQL 5 support is required since MediaWiki 1.19 – if you are using an older version of MySQL and cannot upgrade, you should use MediaWiki 1.18.5 (download).
Some users find it helpful to install an additional software package such as phpMyAdmin (MySQL) or phpPgAdmin (Postgres) to help administer the database server.
