Outlook 2010 with personal folder .pst suddenly asking for password

Hello EE,
I have a user with a personal folder .pst in Outlook 2010 and suddenly it is prompting for a password and there was never one set so we cannot open.

Usually when a PST is exported there is an option to set a password.  Who or how was the copy of the pst made, password could also just be blank.

You could either try exporting without the password or try and use a 3rd party recovery tool (which is unsupported by microsoft) in effort to extract the password:
