dell powervault md 3000

I have a couple of questions.  How can I access this by a console connection?
I do not know if there is a gui for this machine or if I must connect directly and how?
I can go in the server room but I don't know where to connect to?

The middle unit is beeping every second and red light is flashing.
Does anyone know what this might be?

You can use the Power Vault Modular Disk Storage Manager to connect.  It might already be installed on a machine, maybe the one the MD is connected to or some other management machine.

I found out how to access it from one of my servers.
the alert is for replacing the battery...Does anyone know where I can buy the battery and if they have replaced the battery themself or if they would have a dell service man come and fix it?

We do not have a current service agreement.
Could I call a local authorized dell repairman?
Depends on how comfortable you are with server hardware:

It's doable but plan for downtime when you are doing it.

Find the part # and purchase online from Dell.
