High-def zooming on images in an Android app?

Hello Android Experts,

I was wondering if the Deep-Zoom feature in Microsoft is available for Android O/S on phones and tablets, like from the following site:

NOTE:  Check out the pic 3rd from the bottom, mountain with waterfall.

I'm not quite sure how Android names this functionality, if available.

Ok, maybe I mis-spoke (or mis-typed).  I did mean to say the 'smooth' part of the zooming without the lag or wait time for hi-res images.

You might try the QuickPic app, it is has some nice features and the zooming is usually smoother than the native Android galleries:
