A red microsoft word 2010 is not activated message keeps comming on PCs


We use Microsoft office  2010 on our PCs in our network and recently we have come across many PC saying this version of microsoft word is not activated.We had activated the office suite 2 years ago sucessfully on these computers and now the activation message comes on the top of tool bar

We have a Microsoft EES in place and we have 6 product keys for the office suite
MAK -3

Any sugessions appreciated.

You can type “slmgr.vbs /dlv” or “slmgr.vbs /dli” to find the KMS host.
I use VAMT 3.0, which is fussy with the dates if you want the reporting to work - the display language has to be English (US)
It also does not support Office 2003, Windows XP or Server 2003 but does support Office 2010 / 2012 and Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 2012 / 2012

Run Office repair and try activation (may have to choose option change product key).  If problem persists then you may need to call MS for support.

Try to change the product key to the MAK product key and see what it says. You can do this from the command line as administrator using:
slmgr.vbs /ipk <MultipleActivationKey>

EES is a time-limited subscription. Maybe the PCs are trying to activate on the KMS server but it is offline? The activation requests are processed every 180 days, so something might have happened to it.

I have activated on some of the PC and seems to appear again.

I remember my predecessors saying that there is a KMS server within our network. I will try to find, which server its is. Do I have to configure anything on the KMS so that the PC don't ask for activation.

The problem is the clients keep asking for activation on the KMS so I'm not sure there is much that can be done about it, maybe your predecessor would know. Probably better to convert the problem PCs to MAK as you go. The problem will disappear completely then. How many PCs are you looking administering?
