DFS hangs our Domain Controllers

We got two Windows 2008 SP2 vitrualized under Vmware that hangs sometimes.
This issue never appears before DFS has been installed on our server.
In fact one time or twice per week, one of our two DCs hangs. They are still ansering the ping, we can connect on RDP and try to logon but server hangs with the "Welcome" screen and AD DFS, DNS,...became unstable.
Does anyone got this issue ?
Is it a Microsoft issue or it seems to be a Vmware issue ?
Thanks for your help.

I think the issue you are having is that you have not configure DFS to use fully qualified domain names in referrals, (Set this on your DC)

Enable the DFSN FQDN root referral behavior. To do this, use one of the following methods:

    Set-DfsnServerConfiguration –ComputerName <ServerName> –UseFqdn $true

Dfsutil.exe server registry dfsdnsconfig set <ServerName>

Check the event log when the server hangs you may get evidence to troubleshott further.Perfrom the diagnosis test like dcdiag /q,dfsr health report form DFS console, check the perfromance of server, network, etc.
