SBS 2011 Outlook over http "the name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site"
I have inherited an SBS2011 and are getting the error "the name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site" when users open up outlook (version 2010). Once you accept the warning everything works fine and out of office features work from outlook. I need to get rid of this message the following may assist diagnosis:
1.at the top of the certificate warning message it says "autodiscover.domainname.c om"
2.when setting up outlook we use the url to connect to my proxy as "remote.domainname.com"
3.all users are having the issue (all users use http)
4. it is a self-signed certificate
5. after installing certificate on a test machine web mail will work without certificate warning in a browser. Connecting to https://remote.domainname.com/owa
Bit of a dinosaur when it comes to certs so any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should add "autodiscover.domain.com" in your certificate to avoid this error
