"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

safe mode
Check your hardware and make sure there aren't any blown capacitors on your motherboard and graphics card. If there are, then that's your problem.

If not, try to boot into safe mode and change your resolution settings or update your graphics card driver

Last thing I would check would be viruses.
If able to boot into safemode, uninstall any unwanted programs and toolbars and run an antivirus scan.
