user profile

To experts,

I came across this issue with Window 7 user profile.
1. I delete the domain user from domain
2. I recreate the domain user with the same info
3. When I tried to log back into Window 7, the profile isn't the same person. Window 7 detects the user as a new user.

At this stage, I realized something called guid wasn't pointing to the same user as before.

My question are:
1. What is the best way to restore user profile under this situation?
2. Will I be able to relink the guid with the new guid from the new user that I created?

The best way to restore user profile is to login with admin or account with rights on the machine go to computer properties -> advance settings -> under user profile you can copy user profile to the newly created user profile.

You can not relink the guid with the new guid in Active Directory.

Hi sushil84,

Your solution is awesome too. Is there a way that I can give you credit for it also?
