Is it necessary to install application role on server 2012 for client/server software that utilizes IIS, Net 3.5 and Microsoft Office 2010? Users will not directly log into this server thru remote desktop.

Application Role Necessary

Microsoft Office is an integrated suite of applications that includes Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio and InfoPath, along with a number of tools to assist in making the individual components work together.
