Replace "/" in excel with "-" (change date format)

Hello,

I am trying to do a find a replace to change the format of dates in an excel spreadsheet. They are currently listed as 9/9/99 and I need them to be 9-9-99. I tried doing a find and replace but it seems that you can not replace anything with a "-". Is there any work around here?

Thank you so much,
Sean
