Websense User Log

Hello,

I need to remove the logs of 5 user accounts from the websense reporting. These are service accounts which periodically pull RSS feeds or data over FTP. The report is for an internal audit which doesn't need to see these accounts as part of their compliance test.

How do I go about doing this?

Thanks

Not quite what I was looking for. How does one go about removing existing logs and also removing the accounts being logged in the future?

Yap that is also stated in the link shared in my last posting.

It is true you will ignore the user's username and the user will not be identified.

However, the filtering and the logging will all be done by IP address.   With knowledge of what IP address the user is on, it is still possible to track where that user is going to EVEN THOUGH THE USER IS IN THE IGNORE.TXT.
"How does one go about removing existing logs"

1. Log into the Websense Manager.
2. Click on Settings > Reporting > Log Database.
3. Scroll down to the partitions you want to delete and click on the Delete button.

As far as user identification and IP address for filtering, that is all dependent on what the exact setup is.
