Having trouble trying to open a .dbf file

I'm using the odbc dBASE connector to open the dbf files. The tables show up in the list but when I try to select any of the tables I get the following error:
ErrorI've tried changing the odbc to dBASE V, IV, and III and still have same error.
Any ideas?

What version of dBASE are you using?

It sounds like one or more tables may be corrupted.

I've been told they are foxpro tables and to connect to them you'd have to use the dBASE connector. I copied them from the live server onto my computer

So I found the odbcfoxpro.msi installer on microsofts site and installed it. Now I can select some tables over but a lot of them give me this error now:
Not a table error

Thank you

I did a whack of google searches and found out that you have to use the 'OLE DB Foxpro' driver instead of the ODBC and it works fine now.
