bt email in outlook password box popping up

Hi,

I have a customer with a bt email configured with outlook.
A problem has arisen where whenever a send and recieve is done or apprentally in the words of the client "whenever anything is done" outlook prompts your to type in username and password so he does this and clicks 'Ok' but then it just pops up again and it's not that the password is wrong it just keeps popping up.

At first i thought it was because the clients isp's SSL certificate had expired so i allowed the emails to come through anyhow which seemed to have fixed it for about 1 and half hour but now it has arisen again and outlook was not closed and re-opened during this time.

No comment has been made in the last month. We have now been able to resolve this issue by resetting the email account in outlook.
