I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Please take a look in here and see if can help you achieve what you want.Create an Address Rewrite Entry Edge Transport

For better understanding you can also take a look on :Understanding Address Rewriting

But answering your questions, in my opinion the best way is on the edge transport, and you can see the commands on the first link that I provide.

Hope this could help you.

First you need to verify where environment has enabled this transport agent or not if not you need enabled the same. then you can decide based on the environment , you can enabled for user or domain. so you can run the command. you may refer all the things from below Microsoft site.

If you are using Exchange 2010

If you are using Exchange 2007
