InLine css

What is wrong with this HTML:

<input type="text" class="pt10" name="list" style="color:FF0000;" size="3" value="82.50">

I'm trying to cause the form element text to be red; it seems to alternately work or not.

I'm using FireFox.

Notice the #
<input type="text" class="pt10" name="list" style="color:#FF0000;" size="3" value="82.50">

Open in new window

You can also just use "color:red"

I thought the "old style" with the # was not used/needed by CSS?

But it sure fixed it.

It's not old style, it's the current and future way.
