DFS will replicate files and folders to a server on the other site. This works fine for most data directories with a few known issues. files that are locked for long periods of time such as PSTs or MDB (or any other database files) will not stay up to date.

DFS combined with volume based snapshots can give you some peice of mind. Remember it is syncing the directories that you specify which means if a user at site a deletes a directory then it gets deleted at site b. With a generous amount of drive space alloted for snapshots you can keep weeks worth of snap shots to recover from such an incident.

That is the simple and free method since the DFS and snapshots are included with WIndows server

If you do windows server backups to a usb drive or network location, you can use a robocopy script to copy the backup to a network location at your other site at night. This will only work efficiently if you have good bandwidth and your backup file is relatively small.
