Group Policy windows server 2012 & Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery Manager

Dear All,

I am new to this windows server 2012 .In my organization there are 350 users. All the users are connected to the domain now.  I want to apply group policy to all  the users. Is it possible to apply  policy to particular users or I have to create OU's & apply the policies to that particular OU's. please do mention step by step for applying group policies to users. i am totally new to this. i don't from where to start this option .

Also how can I take an image of computers with the help of Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery Manager. To be safe from side I want to take images of all the pc's with the same configuration & brand so that in future if there is any problem with that particular pc i can boot with the image CD & get back the old configuration for the user without any problem .

Waiting for valuable suggestions.

You need to create OU for users and computers and you can apply group policy. In group policy 2 parts are there computer configuration and user configurations.

Check the below link it will help you to understand.

with regard to Group Policy, designing AD is a detailed subject and isn't going to be easily explained in a forum.

In short, you generally either apply GPOs to entire OUs or to members of security groups within OUs, depending on your intended purpose of the GPO.

with regard to your 2nd question, I recommend creating a separate question for that in the appropriate section to ensure you get good advice.
System recovery isn't really designed for what you are asking for, as it is for backups/restores, not image distribution.
