Do you have the antispam agents installed on the server?

Simon

Thanks for replying

Yes I have antispam installed

you say agents?

I do not remember when I installed it are there options that I might have missed?

What can I do to check if installed?

I see on organization configuration  the hub transport the anti spam tab features

content filtering
ip allow list
ip allow list providers
ip block list
ip block list providers
recipient filtering
sender filtering
sender id
sender reputation

All the above are enabled

On the server configuration hub transport under connectors anti spam tab
ip allow list
ip block list

both enabled

Any ideas?

Not sure about that

How do I determine that?

Is that something I can setup to do?

If so how?

Do I need forefront to be installed?
If you only have one Exchange server then you don't have the Edge role.
Edge in my opinion is a waste of money. If you want to filter attachments, use an Exchange aware AV product instead.

Simon.
Simon

Thanks for the input

Any suggestions?
For Exchange AV?
Depends what you have at the moment. I usually suggest something different to what you have on the workstations to increase the protection. Forefront for Exchange used to be the go to product, but Microsoft have dropped it in their rush to the cloud. GFI do a multiple engine product which would be worth looking at.

Simon.
Thanks Simon

Forefront for Exchange any where I can download it from?

Found it I already had it on my NAS drive was looking out it a long time ago.

I think they will still support it with updates for a while down the road.
