"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

See if you can look at the headers of the email from Facebook to see if it is actually coming from Facebook. It could be just spam (lots of this), or someone could be trying to access your account. Presumably only your friends know about your account, so most likely it is just spam.

I just got an email from Facebook regarding privacy and other policies.

It came from notification+zj4o042sf4o6@facebookmail.com

If your emails are just from facebook.com, they are probably spoofed emails.

Your spam filters should be able to filter this out. I am not seeing much of this any more.

No points for this but agree with thinkpads, very highly likely spam trying to get your password. Ignore and move on.

Someone trying to access your Facebook account will try your id and see if they can get in. That is, they will try to log in as you. Your friends are apparently playing games and just trying to be you.

You cannot stop them. So ask them to cease and desist.

no answer???

Yes of course and I answered above.

The barn door is open and the horses have bolted. Your friends (?) know your Facebook ID and you cannot stop them from trying to get in. There is no way.

You said you fixed your password, so unfriend these friends (?) and forget about the emails from Facebook.

If you want peace, delete your Facebook account and start a new one under a new name. Then be critical about who you allow to be friends.
